You need to get it checked out if it persists. My husband suffers from tinnitus and it can be aggravated by stress, caffeine and certain medications. I don't know whether yours could be E. related. Maybe some of the other members can shed some light. Good luck with it. It must be very annoying for you.
 
Some epilepsy meds cause tinnitus (particularly Topamax I think). It can also be a form of Simple Partial seizure originating in the parietal lobes. Make a note of it, and let your neuro know.
