For the last few nights while i've been sleeping, i've woken myself up by flinging my arms out straight with my hands twisted back, stretching my body and my legs out and then just falling asleep again pretty much straight away. I think it only lasts about 5 seconds or so but it was pretty violent enough to wake me up. It's like everything goes completely rigid. I think it happened at least 3-4 times last night that i can remember.

Does this sound like it could be seizures or is it just restlessness related to nicotine withdrawal?

Woke up this morning with a MASSIVE thumping headache too >.<

I have my E review with my GP tomorrow, i'm wondering if this is worth bringing up.

Ok definitely worth bringing up now, it just happened a minute ago which resulted in me throwing coffee over myself and kicking the coffee table at the same time.

Ow!

Hi Loopy,

I wish I could help you in this matter, I know when NEW things start happingen it can be scared. I haven't had anything like that .

To me it seems like it only lasts about 5 secs or so but i'm not really the best person to judge that lol :ponder:

Nah it's 6pm here now, nowhere will be open. Will have to wait til tomorrow morning now but that appointment is only with my GP.

This kind of thing isn't new, it happened a couple of times during my EEG back when i first got diagnosed but wasn't so strong.

I feel soooooo sleepy now but brother is going to be coming round in an hour or two so can't go get a snooze

Sounds like a myoclonic seizure. Maybe that and the headache are triggered by the nicotine withdrawal. Your system is probably in shock...

i put patch on and i had most odd nights sleep vivid dreams not pleasent and fell asleep 5am woke 11am last two days.going up wall for fag

oh and stinking headache...i be turning computer off in a moment i feel migrain may not be far away

Loopy Lou

When I tried giving up I had the headaches as well and I used to get small seizures due to withdrawal.

It could be a brief tonic seizure, with everything going rigid. What type of seizures do you normally have?

I normally have partials which can go into secondary generalised. I had the same thing happen on my EEG and they caught it in left and right temporal lobe, but the ones i had in my EEG were nowhere near as... well, not violent but certainly enough to wake me up during them.

Ack i don't know. I forgot to mention them to the doc today today, it was a doctor i've never had before so the appointment was mainly spent telling her what kind of epilepsy i had and what meds i was on, then i had blood tests and i forgot >.<
