I have always wondered about the combination of my seizures and how they relate to my physical sensation. As the last three years progressed, i've lost more sensation. I was informed that soft tissue nerve damage is not something that a test could find. But either way I just don't feel nearly as much as I should. Whenever I have had a seizure I feel almost nothing.
An example of my feeling getting lessened would be in my past, when I was only getting auras once a year. I recall when I was in Judo I reacted to pain very differently then I did in previous years. I broke a rib and cracked another one, but it just didn't really hurt. Broke a bone in my foot, and yet again, it just didn't hurt. I used to think I had a really high pain threshold, but this is getting to weird.
Can prolonged seizures do some damage to the nerves? Or is it just a general impact to the sensory part of the brain?
