I started Zonisamide a couple of days ago and we have both noticed that the seizures have started to kick off again. I'm still on 50mg of Lamotrigine for another month til I can reduce it to 25mg then come off it altogether a month later.

I just wanted to ask is anyone here on Zonisamide whilst on another drug and did it do the same thing? I'm hoping that the seizures settle down again soon.

I'm coming off Lamotrigine because of the side effects as it made me angry, gave me nightmares every night, made me really achy and sore. I also couldn't handle any dose higher than 50mg. I'm currently on 50mg of Zonisamide a day for 2 weeks.
 
Zonisamide didn't work for me. It was hard on my stomach and appetite, and I ended up having a seizure on it due to low blood sugar. I wasn't on any other meds at the time though.
