Went to the doctor again today to discuss my EEG results. I was honestly expecting a firm "It's clear again," but it was irregular. I can't say I'm necessarily happy about it, but it at least shows that my worries have not necessarily been unwarrented.

So, the doctor says I've got me some epilepsy. Well then, y'all. Guess I do. This forum is great, though, and I have really enjoyed being a part of this community. More time to spend with you lovely folks. Some silver lining to all this. :)

My doc is going to schedule either a CAT scan or an MRI for the coming week. She wants to do a full neurological work up, since my records were not too thorough in places.

Anyway, that's that.

Y'all are great, by the way. Glad to be here, it's a huge help! :woot:

Well...congratulations of sorts...for knowing your body well enough to keep looking for answers.

Glad you get to stick around :)

yes, "congrats" -- at least you can put a name to what's going on. And start figuring out how to treat it properly.

I agree! Its a "comfort" in knowing what the heck can be going on with our bodies! I hope the tests can point you in the right direction towards the proper treatment!

Haha. Yeah, it feels strange to be "happy" about something like this, but it's more relief than anything to finally have answers, to know it's not all in my head. Thanks. :) I'm glad to be here with y'all.

For sure. Even if it's not the most pleasant thing, it is a relief to have somewhat concrete answers.

Thank you! The doc will be changing my medication and probably upping the doses a little bit this time around just to be on the safe side. We'll see, though. I am just glad I've got some answers and a doctor that has been so thorough in treating me.

I'm glad to see you have gotten some answers & have an official diagnosis now.
Good luck with getting the seizures under control.

It's bad to have epilepsy but I started smiling because I could tell how happy you are that you can finally move on because you have a diagnosis. Proves you just cant give up! Best of luck.

:agree: And hold on tight 'cause it could be a wild ride, but we're here for you, so VENT all you want if/when you need to.

Well, I'm glad I could make you smile. :) I know it's not a pleasant diagnosis, but at least we can get things under control now. I think it's just a matter of switching meds and getting the MRI to be sure there's no structural damage. Otherwise, I think it should be pretty concrete.

Thanks, Clint. I'm buckling my seatbelt and ready to go. What's life without a few bumps now and again! It'll get sorted, we're headed in the right direction, at least!
