Well here I sit staying awake waiting to head in for my sleep deprived EEG. Its been so long since my last one that I pretty much don't remember what to expect. My last three or four have been normal which in some ways is frustrating. You know you are having issues and nothing happens during your test. I was up part of last night probably in anticipation. The instructions say to stay up until 4am and then I have the option of going to sleep from 4am until 7am. My wife keeps telling me to go to sleep at 4am but I am going to stay up.

Not that I want something to go wrong or have a seizure, but it would be nice in a way if they would actually pick something up on the test. Maybe that's a venting of some sort.

Thanks Frink
I think I may have drifted off between 4am and 5am ever so briefly. My head sort of feels like a lead weight. Just finished breakfast and morning pills. No the waiting until my wife wakes up and we head in.

Hi gnault,

Here's wishing you the best of luck on the e.e.g. I found that when they started to flash different color strobe lights that's what would really trigger the seizures for me. Also if you know of any foods or beverages that trigger seizures for you eat some before you have the tests done and that may help them see more activity going on in the brain. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Part way through the night my head felt like a lead weight. It still feels sort "tight" not sure how to explain it. I eat on and off during the night, had my normal breakfast and I'm still hungry. I had the option to sleep from 4am until 7am but I just stayed awake.

I'm all done the EEG. I have a bit of a headache now. During the deep breathing portion my chest felt quite warm, warm sensation. During my "napping" portion jerked pretty good. Other than that not sure how it went with reading go. The strobe light portion is always interesting. Now I wait for the results. MRI is in about 6 weeks and I'm still waiting for the neuropsychological appointment.

I given had with egg electrol wires gave me few sleeping pill stayed awake

I was fine going in, my head felt a bit off but nothing bad. Afterward I felt a bit off and had a headache probably for at least an hour and a half.
