Yo everyone.

So since my "seizure'ish" day (i think was on saturday) it got me thinking.

Whenever I rush around, I know Im going to get like that.. twitching etc. Its hapened various occassions when Ive had alot to do in a day. Infact lately when Ive had tons to do .. I just think "ugh this is gonna make me have seizures" So.. I tried something today.

I had a ton of stuff to do today, infact, Ive been out 13 hours and only just got home.

I decided to constantly be aware of my stress level, and try to relax as much as possible. Take things slowly... I dont need to rush, I can walk slowly, enjoy the sun, take a deep breath. Get 1 thing done, think about that 1 thing only.. then move to the next.

It worked. Now I need to put this into action around the house too. I like to rush through my chores full speed, but Im going to have to take it slowly.

Also, by accident... because I had to levae so early, I forgot all my things and had nothing to eat all day until just now .. and still .. no seizures.. I just decided to take things in my striide and be as laid back as possible.

Cooollll!!!!!! So glad you found something that helps as much as that does.

What might be hard though is making it a habit when you have seizurish days.

Yes, good for you.
Slow down, one moment at a time, one thing at a time, and remember to eat. Your blood sugar could rapidly fall and bring on a seizure.

Even taking a half hour break once or twice a day for deep-breathing and/or meditation seems to help a lot of people with stress reduction and seizure control. More power to ya Vapour!Take care, and as Cint says above, make sure to get some food and water into you.

STRESSSSS

Yes, that would be a great trigger to control. Funny though, some kinds of stress bother me more than others, i.e family stress vs work. I don't react as emotionally at work. Taking things one at a time sure does help when I can pull it off. When too many things pile up, I don't do any of them which then just feeds on itself and gets worse.

Thanks for the reminder. I find CWE releases a lot of stress for me.

ahhhh

stress, my friend and foe. When i have looked at videos when my kids were little, I am moving at warp speed in the background. Why was I in such a hurry? Type A personality does not help this disorder. I am also into the taking a break, breathing, eating six times a day. High anxiety has always been my companion, and I have tried everything known to man to try and curb that. It takes on a life of it's own, fooling me into thinking I have no way out of the moment of stress. I have had seizures in the past just from prolonged anxiety. Hate that I rely on Valium, but it seems to be the difference between having or not having a seizure.:ponder:
