I would think that if it was the spider bite that caused a seizure it'd have triggered it sooner than 2 days after being bitten

ty,just trying to figure anything that was out of the normal. And that day was the first day i didnt feel depressed and went out side and trimed the hedges....

After years I've finally noticed that days when I wake up feeling mentally alert & usually in a good mood is when I'm most likely (though not definitely going) to have the strongest seizures.

It sounds like you're describing something similar.

Indeed.

There is an online site by New Medical Information and Health Information (NMIHI). I don't recognize this as a legitimate medical organization and they don't have an "about us" page even saying who they are, so I'd take what they say with a huge grain of salt. According to their website, seizures can be a sign of Anaphylaxis.

http://www.nmihi.com/a/anaphylaxis.htm

Anaphylaxis doesn't usually pop up a couple of days later, it happens right away. Did you get a second bite later, or just that one?

I guess Brown Recluse and Black Widow spiders can have seizures as a rare symptom.

Again, I guess This doesn't pop up a couple of days later. It's minutes to hours.

indeed, it was48 hours and maybe enough time to decrease the effects of the keppra,.didnt miss any meds. but my pottasium was low.:ponder:

If you got bit by a Brown Recluse or a Black Widow, seizures are the least of your concerns...

But I'm sure you didn't, you'd have been well aware of it by now... or dead. :?

I imagine seizures are listed as an effect because they both use Neurotoxins which attack your nerves. Any spider with Neurotoxic venom could potentially have some sort of effect if you're extremely prone to them. Personally I don't think they're related... but that's just me. The likelyhood of being bit by a potent neurotoxic spider and not having any other symptoms crop up for two days seems quite unlikely to me.

Could it be more of a seizure post fatigue or dehydration from the work you did? Or possibly your body used up a lot of energy from fighting off the venom that you had one? Spider bites that swell up aren't usually a little thing. Your body was obviously fighting or over responding tongue venom. Any clue what kind of bite it was? Could it have been a bee or wasp?

Staph infections can look like spider bites.

Hope you are on the mend.

it looked like a bite from something.
it started to feel painful as it swelled
up on my lower left arm.when i iched
it would get inflamed and i could feel
the pain travel to my wrist and up to
my shoulder.but there is no evidence
of it there anymore.i put peroxcide on
it and the reaction was of something
being infected .So iam not sure now.
But ty everyone helping.
