Hi everyone.

Well it's 11pm here in Australia and I need to stay up all night or only sleep between midnight and 4am. I have a video EEG tomorrow from 9am-4pm so I'm aiming to stay up till 2am then wake up at 4am.

Fancy keeping me company? What's everyone else up to? I'm watching Big Bang theory. I've done house cleaning, dog walking, dog washing, emails, phone calls etc =) Oh and chocolate of course.

How's it going? Still feeling perky? Don't overdo on the chocolate (since it has caffeine in it too, and you should avoid caffeine).

you not snoozing on us Wobblez, right?

We will be thinking of you.

No sleeping Wob!!!

Keep awake- tell us something about what they hope to see/discover in your EEG : )

Ooh also tell us about this fellow you 'be met recently hehe

Yawn...so I caved and had 2.5hrs between 1.30 and 4pm but that's okay, it's well within the allowed range of sleep. I'm pretty shattered but having an Up and Go and getting stuck into The Big Bang theory.

Nakamova, your excellent advice sits in my mind and reminds me not to overdo the chocolate. The hospital didn't even tell me about no caffeine. What would we do without you!

Hey Seizurrific...So the boy =) Well remember I posted a while ago that I thought he had given me the break up speech? He was the one I met on New Years Eve. I wrote him an email to clarify the situation and let him know that I did still care about him. He called me and apologised and spent the next half an hour trying to convince me he hadn't meant to give me that impression, he just didn't want to say no to a good job and knew it would make it hard for us. But he had hoped we could still keep in touch and spend time together. YAY!

Sooooo....as it turned out he didn't actually get the QLD job and he's finally sick of being treated terribly at his current job so he's coming home in 2 weeks!! It's been 4 months but we've spoken to each other almost every single day. I was going to fly over and drive back across the country (literally) with him. That doesn't seem like such a good idea now but it's okay coz he's COMING BACK!

He's a few years younger than me but he has his own house, works hard, has a fantastic sense of humour and some really good morals. He's a dork and I really like him.

Thanks everyone. I'm now wired up sitting in a lazy boy and chatting to mum. I'm feeling suprisingly good considering i'm running on 2hrs sleep.

I hope everything is going well! Staying awake is the hardest part and you've already done it! Congrats! Let us know how things went after you rest when it's finally all done. By the way...I love Big Bang Theory too!

A few little jerks and some dizziness but nothing much so far. Look forward to lunch though, i'm starving!

Those will show up - they'll figure more out :)

I hope the hospital food is better than it is here!!

The hospital I was at, had really good food! 24 hour room service too! :) I recall having some 'weird feelings" the first day, and then the seizures started on the second day. Hope things go well! :)

Oh thank you Seizurrific, and everyone else. I've just left the hospital and I was starting to feel very discouraged after only a few auras all day. Mum said they were watching me jerk while I was asleep though. They should least tell me what that is. Now I just have to wait for the appointment in a few weeks time. It's so nice to check in with you all. Thank u for ur support. My mum and best friends have been wonderful but it's so reassuring to know you guys actually get it.

Wobblez,
I hope they were able to get some results from your Video EEG.

I remember when I had my Video EEG I was actually quite alert even though I was sleep depriving myself but it was good to be able to catch on my sleep after the EEG was over & done with lol.
I'm sure you will have a great sleep tonight :).

I have a hilarious pic to put up if anyone can tell me how to insert it into this post. I took it on my phone but it's up on my FB page.

CQ:), Isn't adrenaline a beautiful thing? Having said that, I was asked to sleep after lunch. Just as I was muttering to myself about being unable to sleep in an old armchair, I woke up and realised I'd crashed for 2 hours lol. I felt all shaky and funny so hopefully they caught that.

When I had my Video EEG I had to stay in a big recliner chair, which I also had to sleep in. The chair wasn't the most comfortable thing to sleep in but once I worked out a way to get comfortable I was able to get a couple of hours sleep lol.
I hope the EEG did catch the activity you had in your sleep.

Did you have any of your meds reduced before you had your VEEG?

Hi CQ:),

Yes I had an old recliner too. I was eyeing up the bed but the cameras couldn't see that properly so I was stuck in the chair. I soon learnt how to sleep though!

I only took 3/4 of last night's dose and I was told not to take any this morning. I was actually expecting even a t/c. I'm surprised I didn't get more than auras. It's comforting to know though.

During my Video EEG the epitiologists/neurologists slowly reduced my meds & didn't take me completely of they meds as they didn't want to bring on a tonic clonic. Because my mian seizures are aura & complex partials they were hoping to catch a complex but I was stubborn & only took a couple of auras :roflmao:.
I waited until the day after I was released from hospital before I took a complex partial which my Mum witnessed :pfft:.
