strange sensation around waist

Has anyone here experienced a feeling like a tight band around the waist? I've been having this sensation for about 2 weeks. It feels like the waist on my pants is too tight, or the belt is too tight although higher than the beltline (ok, no lose weight jokes here.. feels that way even when not wearing clothes...). It's not painful... just uncomfortable.

It could be neurological in origin, especially if you can't make the sensation stop or go away. Probably completely unrelated, but it sounds vaguely similar to what is called the "MS Hug", so you might want to bring it up with your doctor just to be on the safe side.
