so I had a few auras on Saturday- friend picks me up from work to go w/ her to go see the movie "The Grey"
this movie is NOT conducive to quelling seizure states
loud sudden bangs and flashes etc

anyway I stepped out about half through it to go to the bathroom, next thing I know paramedics are in my face, I can't recall my friend's name, Obama's name, the movie name
mental freefall
initially it seemed I was on the road to recovery pretty well
but lingering metallic taste in my mouth the next day
ate some crappy fast food that day too- this was yesterday
last night the vomit and diarrhea would not stop, until I was empty, it seemed
body sore everywhere
went to the ER today, got fluids, a couple of drips- slept several hours
my dad accompanied me and he is a saint.

it's hard for me to not feel imposition.
I'm a 41 year old man who should be taking care of himself
it is so easy to get caught up in that emotional mess
blame game, and blame myself
but
whatever this anti-anxiety is they gave me is effective

What an ordeal Pete. Glad the anti anxiety meds are working and I hope you feel better soon.

thanks CathyAnn- I'm still going through some problems now but I'm feeling better
I hate the detatched feeling, and the repetitive thing - not to mention the pain

sorry to hear that Pete. I hope you get feeling better soon. I am sure that your dad is more than happy to help you out, as would your friends. It is okay to use your support system. I understand the feeling though...I am almost 52 and when I have a seizure, the whole next day is pretty much me on the couch with my husband or sister checking up on me and feeding me! It can be a drag, but they would rather do that than have me try to do it and set myself up for yet another seizure. Hang in there :)

thanks HM
thankfully I've never had much in terms of "cluster" seizures (that I know of)
I feel for those who do
peace
