I take my showers alone, but if the docs want to prescribe someone to join me I could get on board. ;)

What is the half-life of a medication?

A good way to find an explanation of the half life of a medication can be found by doing this: Google(medication half-life). There are several articles that explain how the half-life of a med is determined and what it is listed. I have found this to be very informative! :e:

I recall one time when I had applied coconut oil to my hair. I must have had a Complex Partial while in the shower--when I "came to", I had changed my clothes, but my hair was still full of oil.
Another time, I returned to the washroom 10 minutes later (I thought) to turn the fan off, only to find the shower still running! Apparently the seizures occurred at/towards the end, so I didn't turn it off.

When I was first diagnosed I was having all types of seizures left and right so when I got in the shower someone sat in the bathroom while I was taking it. Now 13 years later I take them with no problem when there isn't anyone in the house with me.

I have had seizures while taking a shower before and a few times I've fallen out of the bathtub. My husband was home for some of them and when he'd heard the loud noise he came into the bathroom to find me laying on the floor. Once I'd knocked almost knocked the sink off the wall! Had a horrible bruise on my forehead for about a week! I'd also had ones that when I'd gotten out of the shower I'd find things like still having shampoo in my hair or I'd only shaved one leg.

I very rarely take baths, only to relax, and I do it when there is someone here with me. I fill the bathtub up full too. My husband will come in from time to time to check on me but really unless he was sitting in the bathroom while I had the whole bath I could drown and he wouldn't know.
