Well tomorrow i'm going to be entering the city2surf http://www.city2surf.com.au/ and as part of it i'm supporting the Brain Foundation. The Brain Foundation is a research charity that researches all types of illness and injury related to the brain including Epilepsy but also cerebral aneurysms, cerebral palsy, parkinsons, acquired brain injury and brain tumor as well as many others. My cousin recently suffered a cerebral aneurysm at the age of 36. She was very lucky and is now recovering but the doctors said that if they had not discovered it when they did she would be dead in 24-48hours. I was going to support Epilepsy Action for the city2surf but when this happened with my cousin I told her I wanted to compete for her. When I went about looking for a charity that dealt with cerebral aneurysms I discovered the Brain Foundation. Since my mother in law recently had a brain tumor removed, I have E, my husbands cousin has a child with severe cerebral palsy and I know others who have suffered migraines (another focus of the Brain Foundation) I figured that it was a more than suitable charity to support. Of course Epilepsy Action is a wonderful charity to support and I want to continue to do so through Purple Day in March of each year. This is my fundraising page if anyone is interested in what i'm doing http://www.everydayhero.com.au/amanda_short_3
