Wahoo for weekends! Are you going to rest, or do you have something planned?

Well, tomorrow I've planned to go to the gym with my friend and maybe get some lunch. I intend to relax and do not very much on Saturday, and then on Sunday I'm going to the pub to watch Ireland play rugby against France. Don't know yet if I'm going to have a lazy day on Monday or if I'm gonna go gym again. No work til tues, woot!

I still have the headache that I've had since Tuesday, so I think I will be heading to bed soon :)

Ok, now I can't sleep because my dad is passed out drunk downstairs, refuses to go to bed, and because of the acoustics in this house and the fact he's sleeping with his head on his chest HIS SNORING IS LIKE THE SOUND OF A FREIGHT TRAIN AND I CAN'T FRICKING GET TO SLEEP!!!

Oh. Sorry about your dad. And the snoring.

How about listening to some nice music to help you relax?

Whether you recognize this or not is a true test of your age. Or your geekiness. Or both. :roflmao:

Is anybody out there?

Can't sleep. Yet again. Bad headache. Seizures. Ugh. Got up for awhile. I am becoming a creature of the night. Might soon be sprouting bat wings.

Hey, court. are you sleeping now? haven't heard from you in awhile.

Lou, you sleeping, too?

if you see someone in a ditch or passed out on the side rode do you stop and help?
i was next to a busy resturant and next to a parking deck. one person stopped to help, but i was up on my feet at that point. I had a seizure tonight while riding my bike. aphaisia, passed out for a bit, whole nine yards.

To make matters worse ,my right hand may be broken from the curb and I lost my glases. And someone stopped to yell at me for being in the street looking for my glasses but wouldnt help when i asked him to.

Oh, Court, I'm so very sorry you were treated like that. And on top of a seizure. Some people are missing the compassion-gene. How wonderful that at least one person did stop.

You need to have that hand looked at. Are you going to make an ER visit, or wait for urgent care in the morning? Did you hit your head? Are you feeling okay? I hope you aren't too wiped out tomorrow. Falling off a bike really hurts - bruises, road rash, sore muscles...

I'm assuming you didn't find your glasses. Any chance a friend could go back with you to look for them? It's pretty hard to find glasses when you don't have them on. Can you see to get around without them?

Big hug from the left hand side of the country.

i have given up on the glasses. thats the problem with matte black glasses and being near sited. i will just go in tomorrow and get contacts. cost effective. was trying to take the girl to cali this month. cant if i buy glasses.

i dont remember what happened just woke up on the currb and couldnt move. tried to move fell back dwn. passed back out. you know the drill

i will live i am sure.

Oh, lord. And outside a restaurant the people probably thought you were drunk from happy hour. People don't think of seizures or diabetic coma or any of the other reasons a person could be in a ditch.

Contacts are great. I wore them for years and liked them. I would have liked them even better with those new daily disposable ones. I finally got laser surgery, but didn't realize at the time that my intracranial hypertension was making my vision blurry, which was included in what the dr. corrected for. So i'm over corrected at this point. which i guess is okay. i just need glasses to read which i'd need anyway at my age so okay.

my seizure alert dog has been waking me up all night. when i'm in bed he alerts me by climing up on top of me and licking me. good thing i don't have a boyfriend right now or i'd think it's him... lol....

the bad news is i've been having seizures all night. i have no idea whether they are simple or complex, because i wake up and just feel cr*^^y, with my dog on top of me licking my face. a few times i woke up to the seizure itself, which sucked because i woke up smelling a bad smell wondering if there was a meth lab in my neighborhood and someone just burned the batch of drugs. lol. i'd rather just sleep through them. At least with my dog on top of me i know i didn't go anyplace while having a cp. I hate it when I go walking around. dangerous. I really love my dog. he keeps me out of a lot of trouble.

sitting here now thinking about my headache neuro. last appointment he acts like he's just given up, spent about 7 minutes with me, gave the air of not caring, and then hurried out. and i need him to stay engaged in getting my health issues figured out and getting me well. i really liked him, too. he's really smart. just right now isn't using it to fix me.

Top complaints from people in the forum:
1) Seizures suck
2) The meds suck
3) Their doctor sucks
4) Their family support sucks
5) Their workplace sucks
6) No driving privileges, not being able to do things sucks

Big sound of sucking air.... we forget how lucky we are on most things. like, we live in a developed country, not in the middle of the jungle where we can't even get a bandaid.

Top things people in here seem to be grateful for:
1) Their family
2) Finally a good doctor
3) they have a diagnosis - finally
4) they can afford the meds
5) they can work and their workplace is accomodating them
6) their seizures are more under control than they were at some other point in their lives
7) the forum and the support and friendship we find in here

I'm sending you virtual bandaids, court. Also a hug.

*big hugs to court and endless* at the time yous were posting I was actually just getting out of bed (was half ten am here)

Slept like the dead again last night. Good news is that the headache is gone, Woop! Still have the tingly sensation under my skull but I can deal with that :) off to watch Ireland beat France in the rugby today (HA! We have a load of boys in training for the world. cup and France have the experienced ones). Hey Ho, we'll give it a go lol x

I am happy your headache is gone. But brain tingling doesn't sound great, either. Is it the pins and needles thing? Or another feeling altogether.

Rugby isn't a big sport here. wish it was. much more action than american football.

Yeah its kind of like pins and needles but milder. I tried to watch American football once, but just didn't get it. I mean, a lot of the rules seem similar to rugby but there's all the extra padding and they stopped play an awful lot. I couldn't get into it.

I have the pins and needles in my hands and feet because of the diamox. it really hurts. i can't imagine having it on the brain.

yeah, american football is slow moving. leaves more time for trips to the frig. lol...

Around 1am, heading to bed now after watching kill bill vol 2 and completely ruining my diet lol. Looks like I'll be heading to the gym tomorrow!

Well, I actually

sorta slept last night. Sorta being the key word...........does more than 5 hours count?

I'm up again, and getting ready to go do some bidding, but I need to do some blogging, and eat first. *yawning*

Who wants to join me for breakfast?

Court, I am soooooo sorry about what happened to you. That sux a hill o'beans. Hopefully you're feeling a bit better by now.

Endless, I am sorry to hear about the nocturnal seizures. My szs are purely nocturnal, so I do know the feeling of waking up and feeling like ****. I hope you get them under control--if possible--soon.

i have spent most of the night awake, but i canr sew because of my hand and since i cant see.
but i am around

2.15am and I can't sleep because I have so much rattling around in my head. Wish there was someone I could chat freely with. It's hard to find someone I could talk about anything with, without me imagining that they think I'm whinging or burdening them. Ach, most of it is probably silly stuff anyway, but it all adds up.

Going to read a book for a bit. I have to be up for the day in just over 5 hours. I have my weightwatchers meeting in the morning, then the gym with my friend and then I'm working til 9pm. Here's hoping for a loss of a few lb this week, might lift the spirits a bit.

I'd love to be able to sew properly! I can do basic mending and make small things like bags, but that's about it! How's the hand now court, was it broken?

Meetz... breakfast you say? Let me hop on a plane or 3 and I'll be there lol.
