Scream? At who? The doctors or the electrodes? lol....

Portable EEG, huh? That's just so attractive. Annoying, too. Sorry, Court.

You know what? I don't even want the job that much. I just want a change from the normal stuff I get stuck with all the time, and a pay rise would come in handy. The manager says he thinks I'd make a good deputy and he will back me with it, yet certain members of other staff think I'm a complete simpleton? Grrrr.

When someone underestimate you, you are given the upper hand.
I had a boss tell me once, it is not good to be strange guy in the room or something along those lines. I should have just whooped his ass and filed it under the strange guy in the room folder. I really don't miss working with Engineers.

shouldnt we all be rolling in chocolate,
st valentine, is the patron saint of epileptics

Luckily I have a desk and free time, this is the kinda stuff i make at night.
but it came a lot out bigger than I expected.

hmmmmmmmm

i like your idea of rolling around in chocolate there, Court! It sounds yummy!

and i like the editing job as well--even if it did turn out bigger, it still looks cool!

makes sense now,
the right side going all the way down is messed up and the left side is perfect.
my right hand is broken,
i was just tired by the time i got over there and should have taken more breaks, it would have come out neater

Oh, man. It's broken? Cast, or one of those metal & velcro splints? Don't tell me you are just toughing it out.

Rolling around in chocolate... great idea, court!

at the hershey's resort in Hershey, PA, they rub you and scub you with chocolate. I've never been, but it sounds like heaven to me!

Personally, I'd want the warm cocoa massage and the hot cocoa bath.

Lolol

Endless, I want to scream because at this point, my head is soooo sensitive from having EEGs, it's really not funny.

The doc PROMISED me that there would be a gel to be used that would help with the sensitivity--and there WASN'T. And he PROMISED to get the tech there REALLY EARLY to get this thing off my head because I HAVE to be at work--at the high school, clear on the opposite of the county--and he DIDN'T.

URRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

But the sensitivity of my scalp now is ridiculous. It had gotten to a point where I'd had 5 or 6 EEGs for 3 years running--actually, I think it was 4. Anyway, there are now indentations--through no fault of the technicians--in my scalp. And the pain level is ridiculous.

After the last one, I took painkillers that I had on hand to be able to deal with the pain for a couple of days. And I NEVER take painkillers unless I can equate the pain to being in labor with my last child.

So yeah, I want to SCREAM. I look like the Bride of Frankenstein AGAIN.

I threw a tantrum in the office, and told him that under no circumstances will I ever have more than 2 a year again. One a year is more like it. He at least listened.

I agreed to 2.5 days, and that's it. There will be a tech there at 6:15 to take it off, and if I have time, I can shower before I go sub at school at 7:30. This tech starts his day at 4 a.m., so it's no problem.

The tech this time used a different technique--and we made sure the EEG was working properly before I left.

So hopefully the results will be that there will be far less pain. And I won't be quite so cranky. :)

Oh Meetz, I'm so sorry you're going through all that. What are they hoping to find with the EEG? (Aside from a terrifically smart brain).

Yowwwwwwwwwwwwww! How come your doc wants so many all the time??? That seems so excessive.

Your pain sounds awful. I wish I could wave a magic wand and take it away. In the meantime, try some of that clear calamine lotion, and/or aloe. It will make your hair hideous, but it will help take the skin pain and irritation away.

I don't know about you, but the electrodes make my head pound in exactly that little spot, on EACH spot, for a couple of days after they take them off. Ice helped for mine. Don't know if it will help yours???

I had a 3-day ECG (not an EEG) that left huge contact dermatitis sores (about 3 inches in diameter) where not just where all the electrodes were, but also the patches and the gel. It was burning red hot, and two layers of my skin peeled off. Lovely. The clear calamine and prescription-strength cortisone helped some.

Sighhhh... I wish your doc listened better. Heal soon, okay?

Ololol

I don't know that they'll find a TERRIFICALLY smart brain, Nak. Yup, it's a good smart one, but it tends to wander a bit..... *grinning*

They were doing quite a few when they discovered the 3d and 4th types of E. I am evidently an.......ABNORMAL case. Don't ask ME why, I think I'm perfectly normal. I guess my case isn't though. My different issues are...odd in some ways...and some rare, I know. So, I guess in some ways I'm a guinea pig....

I think the neuro is just praying that there isn't a 5th type of E showing up.

i think every case is an abnormal case,
I would hate for them to find a normal case.

when I had a veeg done, It was atleast a week until before my hair was untangled and the glue came off. Was thinking how nice to start dreadlocks.

I cut my hair for all of my eeg's
I can only think of how it might have been the one time I had an afro

Oh dear Meetz, I hope it eases off! My hair was very long when I had my EEG, luckily I've only had the one! Had about 8 inches cut off it when lamictal started making it fall out tho.

Was a nightmare washing the glue out afterwards!

Tomorrow will

be the interesting part--getting the thing off in time without pain, and trying to make it to work on time......*scratching head* We'll just have to wait and see!

But it's beginning to hurt a bit, although not nearly as much as before. More itch, but still........

*sigh*

Wow! That means you'll probably end up in the medical books as a shining example. And probably the main case presented at a neurology conference. With your privacy protected, of course. You are famous.

Everybody else: I've never cut my hair for an eeg. The glue is awful, but it comes out with any kind of oil. It takes about an hour, but it does come out.

Oh good heavens

I hope I don't end up in the medical books. *shaking head emphatically* No thank you! Oh well, if I do, I guess I do. I can't help my oddities......:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao: Even though I really AM normal!
