I came across a great infographic that shows how the brain is affected when it's short on sleep. You can see it at the link below:

Because folks with epilepsy are more vulnerable to brain stress than the average insomniac it's definitely worth being proactive about getting a good night's sleep. (Nothing y'all don't know already, but the infographic brings it home).
