Does anyone have one or tried getting one?

My seizures are at night but my fiancé travels a lot and I am so scared of having a grand mal and him not being there during it.

His sister also has a brain tumor that causes her to have multiple grand mals and she lives alone. Its so scary. I have slowly started to research getting a dog for either of us. I know there is training involved and they are not cheap.

We have a lab now but he is young and dumb and just wants to destroy the house.

Any insight would be great.

I do not have a therapy dog, but I am a therapy human for 2 very sweet but slightly neurotic Greyhounds.
