Since my last TC in August, my seizures have been increasing. I've been having simple partials once every couple of months. The last two I had were a day or two after drinking, and although it never affected me before perhaps that's changed. I don't drink very often anyway, plus it's expensive and makes you feel crappy.
I went to a birthday party on Saturday and got pretty drunk, last night low and behold a SP. it's just not worth it. I feel crappy today now too, and with every seizure my anxiety gets worse, so I'm going to try and cut alcohol out completely and work on quitting smoking! Less seizures will mean a less anxious me, which will lead to a happier me. I'm not coping very well at the moment and want to try and eliminate anything that's making it worse! Wish me luck!

Good luck to you!
If you think alcohol is causing problems it is best to avoid it.

Hi Howll,
I wish you the best of luck! When I was in my 20's I would have 1 or 2 drinks when I went out with my friends and the next day I would have seizures so I stopped the drinking all together and it reduced my seizures greatly. In regards to smoking I never really smoked that much but my husband smoked for 35 yrs. and he's a lot happier since he stopped, he never realized how much money he was wasting until he stopped smoking. I wish you only the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Good luck and I just want to applaud you for deciding to take this step in your life to better your health. Less seizures = less stress

Thanks for the support guys! The drinking side of it will be easier, as I said I don't drink regularly anyway because it's just not worth how crappy it makes you feel, with or without E. Smoking will be a little harder, but I want to start going to the gym so lose a little weight and up my fitness levels and that's not going to be possible as a smoker.

Drinking does bring about more seizures in me. It's a stupid thing to do. I still do it on weekends but if I had more control over myself i definitely would quit alcohol altogether.

Good luck to you.

Hmm, i think for me it's the Hard liquor that screws me up. Although beer doesn't seem to effect my seizures. I don't drink hard liquor anymore, never really did. As for smoking, it helps relax me and and reduces stress and somehow feel good, that nicotine high. Or THC high. :)

Cheers
Zolt

I would suggest going to the gym before you quit smoking so you develop a healthy habit you can use to kick a bad habit.

Plus getting your heart and respiration rates up will encourage you to quit.

Plus, Frink, that IS the all time NATURAL high!! It gets those endorphins going and you automatically feel better.....
