I stopped taking my Tegretol,Topamax,Phenobarb and I actually didn't need it.
I haven't had a seizure since I took myself off last dose was noon dose on the 18th.
I have never been AED free before and I have mor energy now than I've ever had.
My dh hubby keeps asking me if I have taken my medicine, saying he doesn't want to take me to the E/R and I told him I'll refuse to go!
I'm depressed and actually I don't care.:soap:

Of course you have more energy now that you're not taking any AEDs as those meds do zap one of their energy. But, don't be surprised when you go into another bad TC seizure and end up in the ER! And how will you be able to refuse to go if you're in a TC seizure, not knowing what is going on? We both know how dangerous that can be!

Sounds to me like you really need to speak to someone since you are depressed. Please talk to somebody today to get some relief.

I know how great it can feel without all those medications in your system. For me, the times I was med-free were sweet -- but all too short. Belinda, I hope your seizure-free period continues and that are able to be safe if it doesn't.

I'm actually alive for once in my life .I've got the cleanest house to boot. I took my phenobarb lastnight, and have taken 100MGTegretol today.

It's nice have a life without all the meds.:agree:

Maybe you'll end up being better controlled on less medication than what you used to be taking. This is what happened to me: more seizures would equal more added medication, but if anything it made things worse. When we started from scratch with the medications (since I was off them all anyway for a VEEG), I have been better controlled on what overall is less medication than I had been on.
