Do the changing seasons, temperature, humidity or barometric pressure ever affect your seizures? This can sometimes be a trigger for a person!:ponder:

Definitely yes for me. I tend to get headaches, fatigue, and simple partials a day or two before it rains.

Similarities

In1,
Do you have problems before snowstorms in the same way?
If it would affect me, I would be having seizures non-stop in the winter, here in Minnesota!:crying:

We don't get much snow in TX and didn't have any this year, but that is something I will look for in the future.

I would think excessive heat or excessive cold would be considered stresses for the body, and for this reason extremes of either could trigger trigger seizures in some people but I don't know about the other things you mention. None of the issues you mention are seizure triggers for me.

Hi AC,
The changes in the season and a low pressure in the weather always trigger seizures for me. I always have more seizures in the fall and winter compared to the spring and summer. My Epileptologist calls them "Seasonal Seizures" meaning that the increase of serotonin in the spring and summer decrease my seizures and in the fall and winter when there's less serotonin out there my seizures increase, this is when I started light therapy which means sitting around bright lights in the fall and winter and it has helped reduce my seizures a little.
When it comes to the weather a low pressure always triggers seizures for me even if the bad weather is 2 days away I will have at least 2 days of seizures. When I spoke to my Epileptologist about this he told me that when there's a low pressure the air gets heavier but we can't even realize it and that in turn effects a persons hormones which can sometimes trigger seizures for a person.
Here's wishing you only the best and May God Bless You!

Being very hot has caused seizures for me a few times.

Going too long without eating something, stress, lack of undisturbed sleep and the nightmare that happens once a month (ladies, you know what I mean) where I feel like I am going completely mentally unstable and insane.

Catamenial Seizures?

Hot humid day before thunder storm and coffee but I think that not abnormal lots people fatigued lots caffeine could be affected
