Twitching

Hi,
I've been prescribed Nortriptilyne 10mg by my Doc a while ago for my headaches (not depression) I've put off taking them for a while as I've had a major change in my meds. I'm not sure if this is relevant or not but I've noticed in the 3 days I've been taking them, I'm twitching loads in my fingers and legs. It's quite amusing watching my fingers do a dance. I'm not having seizures at those times though. Anyone else had this at all? Should I bother seeing my Doc about this or not bother? I'm a bit sick of seeing him if I'm honest lol.

I understand you being sick of seeing the doctor, but you should tell him. Let him decide what should be done if anything is needed. Yes others have noticed twitching as well.

I would go see him to be safe. It is a common side effects with antidepressants but sometimes it is an early signal that you are on too much, which can cause problems of its own. Also any antiseizure meds you are on will be affecting the way they work so that may have something to do with it, its all just a balancing act.

Yes I'd definitely mention--sometimes twitching can be a different kind of seizure activity as well--better to be on the safe side.
