So i am working my way up from 300 mg to 400 mg a day over an 8 week period.
Basically im looking for advice from other people who have ramped up/ know a bit about it.
im the second week in and over the last week ive had a fair few occasions where im feeling disassociation. like im drifting away from reality or something like that - if that makes sense.
its really starting to creep me out.
anyone ever had this?

Hey Cherriuz,

I think I know what you mean. I take 400mg Lamictal daily and I still feel a bit dopey and "out of it". Its hard to know whether its the e or the tablets but I work on the theory that I feel a whole lot better than before I started the medication!

Try not to let the feelings worry you, the more you think about them, the more you will notice it. Did you know many people have "micro-naps" while driving? They actually fall asleep just for a second or two, due to fatigue. My point is you don't necessarily have to have epilepsy or be on medication to have these lapses in cognitive control.

Keep us posted x

Thank you for your insight and info
Got another 6 weeks or so to go up yet so will see how things go and try not to let it work me up
your reply was a great help to me :)

I found that whenever I've been transitioning on the Lamictal -- up or down -- I've had moments of dizziness and spaciness. Those feelings went away once I was at a stable dose. Hope that's the case for you. Make a note of what you're experiencing, if it starts to get worse, let the neuro know.

Oh i have an app on my s3 i can add notes on it tracks my meds and seizures and such - good thinking :) going to have to hold out the weeks then and see how it ends up - seizures have been much more stable since starting to go up so its work it i guess
