I am on Vimpat and Lamictal and I am experiencing some hair loss. I assumed it was the Lamictal, since people have reported that a great deal. But Vimpat is so new, it could be a side effect that they haven't detected yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to approach it. One person suggested taking Biotin, and that it brought their hair loss back into the normal range. So I am going to try that, since switching meds isn't really much of an option for me at this point.
I was assuming the Vimpat was the problem. I had seen several people mention it. Overtime it just got worse. I am now dealing with Keppra and miss the Vimpat. I am trying to decide how important hair really is. I hope the Biotin works for you. Please keep me up to date because I am going to ask my dr about trying a combo of meds instead of a high dose of a med.
