Hi Folks,

I hope all of you are doing well. I'm happy to see it's getting warmer outside and the snow is melting away. Over the winter I put on the weight so it's diet time and I've decided it time to try the vinegar each day. I will drink 2 tablespoons of vinegar along with some lemon water. I want to lose at least 20 lbs. I saw my cousin do this and he lost over 200 lbs. Do you think this may mess up my seizure meds? That's my main concern. Thanks for your time and help and May God Bless All of You!

Sue

There's no official listing for an interaction between vinegar and seizure meds. But since everyone's different, best to take it slow and see how you feel after you try it. Also, if low blood sugar is a trigger, be careful with dieting in general.

Good luck!

Healthy eating, meal portion control and exercise are the best ways to lose weight and keep the weight off. Maintaining a healthy weight is life-long, so it is important to do what you can do over a lifespan rather than doing something that may or may not produce a quick weight loss over the short-term. After the vinegar treatment, then what? Unless a person's eating and activity level are improved, most likely the excess weight will return.

Hi Nakamova,

Thanks for your input I really appreciate it. I will be sure to watch the blood sugar, diabetes runs in my family and I don't want to get it. Thanks again and May God Bless You!

Hi masterjen,

I appreciate your concern and I understand where you are coming from regarding eating the correct foods. I've tried diet after diet and the only time I lost weight was when I was on depakene and that's because the drug caused me to have anorexia where I lost 70 lbs. in 4 months. Now that I'm older it's hard to get the weight off and I want to keep the weight low so I don't end up with diabetes or heart problems which runs in my family. This is one reason why I want to try the vinegar. Thanks again for your support and May God Bless You!

Hi Folks,

Here's an update on the vinegar and my weight loss it has worked well so far and I've lost a few lbs. I will let you know that it burns like crazy when you drink it so be careful if you try it. Also I haven't had a single seizure which is great. Wishing all of you well and May God Bless You!

Hey Sue, perhaps you could take the vinegar in a different fashion? Add a little honey perhaps? Acid can affect the membranes of your throat and also potentially damage your teeth.

Nakamova has a good point, but it can't be worse than drinking a soda or two. pH of vinegar is 2.4. pH of soda is 2.5. I assume you're not drinking an entire soda can worth of vinegar...you'd probably throw up. If you rinse out your mouth afterwards with water or brush your teeth your probably good.

Hi Folks,

I only drink 2 Tablespoons of vinegar and then I drink a glass of lemon water right afterwards. There's no way I could drink the vinegar without having something afterwards. I also brush my teeth and make sure my mouth is rinsed out well I sure don't want to damage my teeth. Thanks for your support and ideas it's great to have good friends like all of you. Wishing you well and May God Bless You!
