I read at the natural medicine clinic that antacids (especially tums and over the counter ones) really mess with your calcium absorbing. That it is a myth the the calcium in them helps. That is why I say with celery and more water. Soy-milk works miracles for heart burn too. I drink about a 1/2 cup and instant relief.

Just came across this. Interesting. In the process of being diagnosed hypothyroid, I was also diagnosed low B12. Got that horse syringe full of B12 and started to feel better the next day. Am taking a sub-lingual B12 and I believe it helps. I'll always wonder if the meds I have been on for E for the past 50 years have anything to do with this. I do know now some of the symptoms I thought I had from the trileptal were not the whole story, my low thyroid is the rest. Have no idea how long I suffered with this, thinking it was the tril. before I got tested.
