I read somewhere that vitamin E helps children/adolecents with Epilepsy. So now for the past few months I've taken 800IUs of Vitamin E a day. And something I noticed was that my post-ictuses (icti?) were shorter and not as servier. I'm not on any medication because they don't really work that well with me.

Any Thoughts?

Interesting! There have been a few small studies that suggest that Vitamin E may help reduce the number of seizures, and/or reduce the severity of convulsions during the seizures. Do you keep a seizure journal?

No i don't keep a seizure diary exactly but I do keep a diary diary in chich I ALWAYS mention having epileptic issues. It was strange becauase I was going through it and I read something that happened in february and I don't ever remember anything happening to me that day.

I have seen studies but they're all very contraversal over whether or not it does help. but the only time and can tell is when I get exposed to things that cause me to have a seizure. but for me it has definately helped if only a little. The fire alarm in my school got pulled first period last month. And that kind of thing would happen to me all the time in middle school, and I would have to stay out of school for a day or two, but on that day I went home and was back in school 2-3 hours later. It was like everything was put on fastfoward recovery. Which was REALLY nice. I still felt groggy for a day or two but it was nothing that I couldn't handle.

I also decided to go without it for a week just because I was feeling good and I oftenly had dinner at my friend's house that week and swallowing pills at someone else's house is slightly embarassing. And then i was sitting in the middle of history class and my arm would start doing this thing for a few seconds at 15-60 seconds each time, and then it would stop, and do it again in 5 minutes. And I thought I could handle it cuz It wasn't THAT bad, but going to my next class I felt like I was going to fall over and I was all purpleish looking so I went to the nurse and ate food and rested until the busses came because it was last period. I started taking my Vitamin E after that and it hasn't happened again. I'm not sure it there is a connection but I'm not willing to risk it. Seizures aren't fun. They're terrifying, epecially when you always seem to have them infront 100 or so people.

If it works for you, that's great! As you probably know from your research, some studies link Vitamin E use to issues with blood pressure or osteoporosis. The info out there is preliminary and often contradictory, so grain of salt, proceed with caution, etc....
