Any idea what vitamins I should be taking, as I swear some of this is all down too deficiency just new too this world never really taken supplements before :)

I always take cod liver oil tablets as they contain Omega 3,which is good for the heart, brain, joints, skin and immune health. But there are are plenty other supplements out there,so im sure others will chime in on this thread soon enough.

I take Vit. B6, B12, D, calicum, Folic acid. I get these compounded because taken over the counter causes me have seizures.

Yes, b-vitamins, folic acid, I also take Omega 3-6-9, magnesium, calcium and evening primrose oil. I know there are a couple more but their all in the kitchen.

well bought some Vit B tablets today as these were recommended before, but will get some more tomorrow.

I take pre-natal vitamans with folic acid added. I just started taking them a week or two ago. I have no intention of getting pregnant anytime soon, but I think it'll help to boost my immune system a bit. I really feel like the AEDs have compromised my immune system for the most part. When I get sick, I get really sick. So I'm hoping this will help!

YEs I take lots of FLAX oil for Omegas (all of them and no fish toxins like mercury ) and magnisium, complex multi, sculcap herb, D, be-complex, and some others in the kitchen. More later, D

Well took a vitamin B yesterday around 3pm this was a mistake says energy realease on it, it worked!!, didn't get too sleep until 2am

I take a multivitiman and folic acid.

Ask your dr what you should be taking and if there are things that you shouldn't take because it might cause problems with the meds that you are on.

Folic acid is essential as many AEDs deplete it from your system. B- complex is also important. I found that a multi containing ginseng is a trigger for me so I had to drop that one

I would ask your doctor what is truly best for you first. I'm on 400mg of b-2 (riboflavin) a day to help with a constant tremor in my right side and it is supposed to help with my migraines too. Doesn't help with the seizures for me though.

Remember there are so many differences in vitamins out there too, so if you do take some, make sure it is a reputable brand first!

My dr is adament about vitamin D more then any of the other ones.

Mia, your absolutely correct. For me Ginseng is a big trigger for me, i found out when i experimented with some pure stuff in a capsule. I also have great luck with a "good" multi that costs more but way worth it. I often take a b-complex too (at different times in the day) i found magnisium good at night time, makes me sleepy. I also feel much better with fresh FLAX OIL. it is better absorbed than fish and no toxins. it also has the perfect balance of omega 3-6-9 which is the best way for your body. If i can afford it i wish to try the compounded vitamins. Thanks all i love the info and sharing experience.

Ask your doctor if there are any interactions you should be aware of... but just as a thought... my doctor recommended Prenatal vitamins because they have all the supplements I need with the added bonus of acting as a mood stabilizer.

It was fun to explain that to my roommates though ;)
