Just two questions.

What are you most thankful for this year?

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

I know this only applies to those of us in The U.S. Canada has already had theirs. Germany has a thanksgiving-like festival. Everyone in here from europe, asia, and australia has probably heard of thanksgiving. It's the day where we give thanks for all the blessings in our lives, and eat until we have to undo our pants.

I'll start. I'm thankful that I finally know what all those weird things were that were happening to me (seizures), and that I'm receiving treatment. I'm grateful for Lamictal. I'm thankful for all the people I love. I am thankful for all the great people in this forum, and for the forum itself.

Thanksgiving day I'm going to a relative's house. She decided to have all her branches of family over for a big meal. How she's going to fit them all in her house I have no idea. We are all bringing extra portable tables and chairs. I think this is going to be a 3-turkey event, for a total of 60 lbs of turkey-eating fun! (Or Tofurky, as the case may be) I am making stuffing, gravy, and rolls for an army! This is a bit of a departure for me. Usually on thanksgiving morning I serve food to the homeless, then in the afternoon have a small dinner with immediate family. This is going to be really different!

I'll be spending T-Day with my brother and his wife, kids, in-laws. Probably ten folks in all. My brother loves to do all the cooking. Last year he cooked two turkeys -- one in the oven and one on the grill. They were both incredibly delicious. He's sensitive to gluten, but has figured out all the ways around that. He'll make gluten-free bread, and then use that to make the stuffing.

I am extremely thankful for my family (my mom, plus two brothers and two sisters), and my extended family as well. They aren't smothering, but if I need them, they are absolutely there for me. My brother's wife is a doctor, so that's a plus if I need a consult!

And it goes without saying (but I'm gonna say it anyway) CWE is such a tremendous resource. I'm thankful for it every day. Thanks Bernard!

This year I'll be spending Turkey day with my daughter and new son-in-law and his mother. My daughter and her husband will be doing all the cooking w/ trimmings. Yah!
My son won't be able to come home for Thanksgiving since he is in law school at Boston and has finals then :( , but he will be home for Christmas! :woot:

I'm most Thankful to still be alive and have two happy, successful children after all the H*LL they went through growing up, watching their mother suffer bad seizures and depression. Life can and does go on.

And thanks, also, to Bernard for CWE!

Im most thankful for my family, friends and everyone who has helped me get through the tough days.

Our plans for thanksgiving is to go to my side of the family, mid morning on Thursday. We have some familly coming in from western Nebraska who would like to see the kids and I. My husband works that day from 6am to 2pm. So he wont be able to be there with us :( But then after seeing my side of the family, were headed over to my In-Laws to see them and my Brother In Law with his family who drove here from Oklahoma today! :) So were actually going to be havinag two dinners that day!

I am most thankful for my family and friends. Most of them have been here through this entire mess called E. It has been a long 6 months and I am looking forward to 2011 starting.

I will be doing all the cooking, we will have a fried turkey, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, green beans, mac N cheese, beer bread, pies (Apple, Pumpkin, Key Lime and a fruit medley) and stuffing.

Happy THANKSgiving everyone.

Hmmm, let's see

I'm thankful for CWE, my meds and the family that I'm living with; I'm equally thankful for the treatment that I get and the love as well.

What am I going to DO on Thanksgiving? Spend it with the family that I'm living with--they're great. We've adopted each other, and we'll just chill that day. Have some food, watch a bit of TV, do some reading/cross-stitch, and I'll keep an eye out here, too. :)

It will be a different Thanksgiving for us this year. It will be the first without Mom and I am sure that will bring sad moments, though I personally am going to try to make it a time of happy memories.

Thanksgiving day will be at my daughter's new house. Sort of different celebrating a holiday at my child's home. That will be with my wife's parents as well.

Then on Friday, we will be 'splitting' Mom's belongings. We are not having an auction, just dividing everything up amongst us kids. Lots of memories and keepsakes for that day. Party that night.

Thanksgiving celebration for my side of the family will then be on Saturday including watching OHIO STATE DEFEAT MICHIGAN.:woot:

Sunday - sleep!

I am thankful I have time to create my art.
We will be spending the day at my brothers house about an hour from our home.
I am still hopeful that our Marine will be able to join us.

I am thankful for my friends and family that have loved and supported me through my decision to presue epilepsy surgery next month. I'm thankful that my dad is able to come up from NM this week and spend some time with family for Thanksgiving. I'm also very thankful to have found this site and so many of you that have helped me.

As for Thanksgiving this year, I will be going down to my boyfriends sisters house so I'll be hanging out with his family all day....Hoping to catch the Football game but their not really Football people:ponder:

On Friday and Saturday I go down to my parents house to spend some time with them while my dad is still in town.

Hope You all have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!:woot:

I am most grateful for my son. He is the best blessing God ever gave me!

I am not doing much on Thanksgiving. My son is going to his dads and my mom and brother work. On Friday I am going to my moms and we will have Thanksgiving then. Friday night we are going to see Jeff Dunham the Comedian. That will be a blast.

I am grateful to have gotten through another year. Very stressful year with several challenges. Getting through rehab with DH after his surgery took all the energy I could muster.

I had my family here, 2 daughters & 6 grandkids, my sis and her husb. 13 of us at a big table. I've been shopping, cleaning and cooking for over a week to get ready and thought I'd drop of exhaustion. But we did it and it was wonderful. It took 3 grown men to get turkey into the fryer (first time ever tried that) with several onlookers taking pictures.

Very fun family time, recharged my emotional batteries for a long while I think.
