I have college tomorrow and I haven't been at college since my days were getting worse. I've had pretty bad days for the past few days, having 'Reboots' where I go absent, and 'Power surges' where my arms jerk about. My family wanted to come up with a name to tell the family, we have young kids in the family and computer terms helps them understand more.

But I am really worried about college tomorrow. I do health and social care so everyone has studied epilepsy, but none of them know it is suspected that I have it.

I am worried about having a 'Power surge' or 'Reboot' in front of everyone and then them taking the mick... or the p*ss however you want to say it...

Any kind words from anyone? And I hope you are all doing Ok!!

I hope it goes smashingly well tomorrow. "Well" can mean being entirely seizure-free all day -- or it can mean having a few reboots and power surges but not feeling in the least bit bad or self-conscious about them. You might want to chat with the teacher before class to give them a heads-up. If they're a smart teacher, they'll realize that if something happens it can be a teachable moment and a great way for people to lean about the different ways epilepsy can manifest...
