I walked over to the counceling center which is only about 4 blocks away from my apartment. As I rounded the street to the centers sidewalk I had a simple partial seizure which turned into a complex partial as I entered the center and tried to enter the code to enter the back and open the door to where all the offices were. Thanks goodness they all know me and understood what was going on. I had another seizure while I was there at my appt. too. Then I had another seizure when they dropped me off at my appt. building latter. Thank God for the staff there. 3 simple partials and 3 complex partials in 1 day. I was really "out of it" so to speak yesterday. I went to bed at 6pm last night and just got up at 4:50am. That's a lot of sleep for me!

That sounds like a really bad day, but the best thing is you are ok and people looked after you. I usually sleep a lot as well after a seizure, I hope today is better.

Penny,
Goodness, hearing of this day you had reminds me of a similar day I had about 11 years ago which led to my first surgery. I do hope days like this pass for you go away and don't come back... fingers crossed.

Glad you're OK. Its a good thing there were nice people to lend a hand.

I have a lot of absence sz's along with CP,TC it's usualy the tonic clonic that have me sleeping for hours there and some time Complex partial it depends on how bad the sz is actually with me.

I'm glad you were around people who knew you. It can get pretty scary when you're alone in public.

It can get pretty scary when you're alone in public.

I've had plenty of CPs in public before. I've just had to let it run it's course, sit and recover, then go about my business. Sometimes people have come around and asked if I was okay. Other times, they've just given me that look of bewilderment when I come out of it.

The scary ones are going TC in public.

I get scared when I suddenly find I don't know where I am. I haven't had a tonic clonic in public for many years. I tend to try and stay at home if I'm that uncontrolled. But partials in public always leave me feeling either humiliated because strangers probably think I'm crazy, or scared because I'm out alone and have no clue how to get home. But yes, tonic clonics are way scarier.

One of these happened in my councelors office and I had to convence her not to call the ambulance. I'm not sure what all happened she just said it lasted a long time. I asked how long . she said 7 minutes at least and she got another to come in. I left to go home. A few blocks across the street. They called the office that checked on me a few times last night. I have slept most of today off and on until a little while ago. I cant believe how tired I have been. Thanks everyone!

If it lasted longer than 7 minutes they may needed to call an ambulance..... that could be status...... good thing they checked on you. Call your dr. if it lasts that long again.

I just got up again. I went back to sleep about 20 minutes or so after I talked to you all. I cant stop sleeping.

I am getting blood draws tomarrow to check levels. They are going to come and get me. I told them by then I should be fine but the dr. office said that they still would.. :) That would be my GP. My nuero is 55 miles away.

I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this. I know how it is. Hugs.

Hi Arnie. I am feeling ok at this time. I have been up a 1/2 hour. I had fallen asleep for almost another 2.I don't know if this is normal to sleep so much after having had so many seizures in one day and one for so long. I will never stop someone from calling again. I have never felt so bad.

Thank you all for your advice and encouragement you have all helped so much!!!!! :)

I think your brain and body are probably more tired than you think (which sounds weird to read, but you know what I mean). So listen to your body and rest up. Just don't forget to stay hydrated and get a little food too.
