Spent my 35th wedding anniversary in the ER Saturday, with chest pains. They were bad ones too. I was admitted overnight for observation and testing. So far the tests have ruled out any cardiac problems, save one more test in nuclear medicine which i do sometime this week
I did get flu and pneumonia shots. so I'm feeling like doo-doo right now. I am very surprised by the outpouring of concern by all the residents in my neighborhood. So many well wishers! Awesome! Even the kids trouped in to see me, must have been about 30 of them!

This hospital stay was the best I have ever had at Mike Callaghan Federal hospital. Quality of care was outstanding! Couldn't ask for anything better. One thing they did was pad the sides of the bed. I was kind of ticked about it because my E is under control, been 2 years, now. The only blemish, was the food! OMFG! when they brought in breakfast I thought i was going to hurl. OH PU! It created a nasty smell in the room. The powered eggs must have been made with God only knows. It was inedible. I was very happy my son brought me real food to eat.

Yaaay,

Glad that Cardiac problems were ruled out.

Please let us know if they do find the source of your chest pains.

Also, Happy Anniversary.

Im glad to hear it ruled out any cardiac problems! I just had a stress test done today, because I was having alot of chest pain too. But all came back normal. My next appointment is with a GI dr to talk about it possibily being GERD. Im glad youre feeling better! :)

Happy 35th!! I think that since you had to be in the hospital, your husband should get you something extra special. Diamonds anyone?? :)

Happy Anniversary!

:cake:

:dancing2:

Chest pain is scary. I'm glad you are okay.

Don't mind the padded crib thing. It's not personal. it's a safety measure all hospitals take for someone who is still under care for seizures.

Sorry to hear about the chest pains BB.

Congrats on the 35th. From what you have related over the last year or so, that's quite an achievement. :paperbag: :pfft: j/k

Hope the pains are not indicative of anything serious. Get well soon.

Sorry to hear of your health scar and I'm go glad you are OK.

Happy Anniversary

Just out of curiosity, could the pains be from your gall bladder? I know when I had gall bladder attacks, it felt like chest and diaphragm pains. Not stomach or side pain

Dear Birdbomb ,
Sorry to hear about the chest pains.here's hoping the nuke med workup (?MIBI) comes back normal. Nice to see your community pitch in with support.
Seems hospital food is the same everywhere. My hospital "outsources" the food served to doctors so it's made 4 hours prior to serving. at least patients get fresh food  and yet it tastes the same (patient once dared me to eat the stuff) . Ever since , i write "home food allowed" in the diet chart if it's ok for the patient.

Happy anniversary!! :)
