Lately my seizures have been coming all in one day, 3 or 4, trough out the day. I've been wetting myself during some of them too.

The first one might come when I'm sleeping or when I'm still in bed. I sleep with a pee pad (not sure if that's what they are technically called) under my sheets so if I have a seizure and I'd wet myself while I'm in bed that keeps the bed clean. My dad suggested I wear some type of adult diaper for the rest of the day just to be on the safe side, which I have no problem with.

I found some on an internet website that were free to try but when I got them the ones they sent were more like maxi pads instead of the under ware type they'd shown on the website so I'm not sure how good they'd be. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what types or brands would be best?

Check amazon.

I have adult diapers because I get diarrhea easily from all the meds I'm on, and it's just easier to wear a diaper than swapping underwear. The diapers I have are a generic Amazon brand so they're inexpensive. They have a fair amount of padding, but I wouldn't trust them to hold an entire bladder of urine. The advantage to buying on Amazon is nobody at the store will know you are buying adult diapers :) The ones I bought were 20 diapers for $10, which is pretty reasonable.

This is what I bought (I'm a guy):

I've had some complex partials in which I've wet myself, so I will often wear protection when I'm going out just to be safe. The pad type can be okay if they are the maximum absorbency level. Otherwise, Depends & Always make disposable underwear. Depends is better. I know about the subject since I've had to get stuff for my mom.

I don't have much problems with buying embarrassing things is stores anymore not that there's self checkout.

My dad and I have a lot of bathroom problems due to our meds. I'll buy diarrhea meds, stool softeners, constipation meds, laxatives, all sorts of other things and a huge $20 bottle of MiraLAX powder, which works great if you have constipation.

Suggest you try Tranquility brand (Amazon) for night time, maybe Depends for the day (less bulk).

Funny---Ten years or so ago, I would have never thought I'd be in a discussion about adult diapers. Things change and we adapt.

I'm living by the words, "Things change and we adapt." And, I hope I can adapt. After 56 years of living with epilepsy, I just ordered adult diapers for the first time.

I want to pout, scream, rage. But then I realize many of y'al must have had incontinence issues with seizures from your first one.

Funny, a few years back, my neurologist asked me if I even lost my bladder during a seizure, and I was quick to say, "No, never!" Like it was impossible. He was a little surprised that it hadn't already happened. Now it's happened once at night and once during the waking day. Of course, now I'm terrified it will happen when I'm back at work next week. So, I'm purchasing diapers, sigh

Despite being on 200 MG/day Xcopri now (in addition to 500 MG of Zonisamide), I had 3 complex partials a few days ago--all within a few hours of each other! I believe that issues we were having with the cost/payment of Xcopri is what may have caused them (even though it was solved about a week earlier).
My mother was there & witnessed all of them. I spilled tea all over myself in one (didn't get burned, thankfully). I also wet myself during one.

Does anyone know if there are medications that increase the chance one will wet themself during a seizure?
