Does anyone have any info on these my dad will get really hot and sweats terribly ans then wants sugar and then gets cold and tired
 
Autonomic seizures are considered a form of partial seizure, and can be relatively common. Some forms of migraine have autonomic features, and hypoglycemia (as noted by Chaz) can also produce similar symptoms, so you may want to have him checked out for those health issues.

You may be interested in the threads below. The description in the first thread sounds very similar to your dad's, with symptoms happening once a month or so.
