Not that I am happy to have epilepsy but I am SO HAPPY to KNOW FOR SURE that it's that and can start on meds soon, hope I can get rid of those seizures, and maybe one day I will actually get a driver's license! I know, one thing at a time...
I had heard about this hospital I went to in Dianalund that they were experts but I didn't want to hope too much because of previous experience with doctors. I wouldn't have imagined, not even if I had let myself hope, to be understood in that way. I was holdning back a little, scared of sounding too weird. Everytime I said a new thing she asked me "is it a feeling like this or that?" and I would say "YES, exactly!" thinking "how did she know?" Maybe I wasn't such a difficult case after all? So I relaxed and told her all I could think of.
She said it really is epilepsy, no doubt, and I will stay at their hospital for a couple of weeks in January to know all they can figure out about the best ways to help me. Which meds will work better, how many seizures do I actually have that I or my husband don't notice and so on. I can't believe this is really happening after all these years!
Thank you for reading through.
