Hey Ho! I am as new to this site but it was suggested by my doctor (ironically not my epilepsy doctor) to seek out other people so after procrastination, stalling, forgetting, and wolf knows how many seizures here I am.... also i rant...sorry.

I am 21 years old and have tonic clonic seizures that shouldn't be a funny sentence except i was diagnosed when I was 16 and they only figured the Tonic thing out like 5 months ago maybe. I am also currently training my own seizure alert dog who is only 4 months old but already knows what to do in case of seizures.

So I have spilled my guts out to you, told you my story, told you my embarrassing facts.... oh wait no I once broke a toilet during a seizure, nice way to break the ice right? I thought so, we all do embarrassing stuff.

Hey defyingfirewolf, what kind of dog do you have? I have to agree with fedup this is a good site for support and to have a good rant and rave.

Hello back, and to answer your question he is a labrador/border collie mix and smart as all get out.

Hey defyingfirewolf, Welcome! Nice job on your seizure dog :) I have a seizure cat. She doesn't really do much but she sits by me and meows like crazy lol Yep...it was a talent she was born with ;)
It's nice to meet you!

Welcome defyingfirewolf! You are pretty talented if you broke a toilet! I noticed you said "a" not "my" in that sentence. I hope you broke one somewhere outside of your home. Because if it was a public toilet, really who cares? They all need to be replace every so often. And if you broke your own, no big deal. Just follow the rule that I have. If it breaks, you get to replace it with something bigger, better, badder! Which in a toilet, lets face it, your options are limited. I guess you could always get one of those heated ones. That would be nice if you live somewhere cold. Or if you have a husband like mine who likes to leave the window open (for fresh air he says) and the porcilen gets freezing cold! Oh, I could go on, but you get the idea. It is no big deal :)

Hello defyingfirewolf. Nobody in our house can lock the bathroom door currently because my husband had to break in when my daughter had a seizure in the shower. We could easily fix it but who cares? No big deal.
