:?Its been quite a while since i posted, we've really been thru a lot of discouragement. Just to update you, my daughter has been having seizures since she was 3, she's 20 now. She's been, for most of those years on tegretol, combining it with phenytoin for many years. At a time one doctor put her on a high dosage of phenobarbitol and i think almost killed her. She's currently on tegretol alone after spending about 3 weeks in the hospital due to having multiple seizures that left her tongue ragged, swollen and unable to close mouth, talk or eat.
After a few days seizure free she's back to having several a week. But one strange thing we've noticed in recent times is that sometimes when the seizing is really bad she'll start howling. Is that documented anywhere? i dont think we've actually mentioned that to any doctor yet.
