Every so often I search the web to see if there is some new research out there regarding epilepsy to be hopeful about. I came across this article (Coping with Epilepsy won't allow me to put in the link, sorry) It's about a new method of online biofeedback therapy. It seems to focus on people like myself who are more drug resistant. I also had been interested in biofeedback before but it seemed too time consuming. This sounded a lot easier to integrate into your life. After reading it, I looked further wondering how I could be a part of it. The neuroscientist Dr. Yoko Nagai has a crowdfunding page here that explains it in full detail and where you can sign up to be a part of it $75(pds.) (Again, Coping with Epilepsy won't allow me to put in the link, sorry )She also responds to your emails. I have tried a lot of different therapies along with my drugs, but at least this one looks like fun!
PS I haven't submitted enough threads to be allowed to put in links even though I've been a member for a long time. Sorry!

They started a new crowdfunding campaign at and you can put: projects/new-therapy-for-epilepsy-part-2# at the end of the indiegogo address. You can sign up there. Sorry to have to act like James Bond here!

Hmm. The original campaign got 38% of the way to its 30,000 GBP funding target and then closed.

I wonder if you still get your training sessions if it closes.

Also wonder about currency conversion. 75 GBP is about $107. I wonder how they charge that for people not in England.

Crowd-funding is an interesting idea but it seems to me that it would be an easy market for scammers and such.

Thanks for bring this to our attention. I will do some more research into this technique and Dr. Nagai and then decide what to do.

Seems like training sessions use biofeedback as a technique for stress reduction. So for those whose seizures are triggered by stress it might prove beneficial. It would be interesting to compare the treatment to other related stress-reduction techniques such as meditation.
