Oilseed rape

I always get a headache for a week or two when the oilseed rape is in full bloom. This year I also got a seizure, for the first time in 2 years. It's unusual for me to have a grand mal without a good reason, such as an infection or forgetting my meds, neither of which I did this time. It's been hot, so I haven't been sleeping well, but 6 1/2 hours of broken sleep has never been enough to trigger a seizure for me in the past.

So I'm casting around for culprits. Does anyone else experience more seizures as a result of triggers like heat, hayfever, or oilseed rape in bloom? I'd love to be able to narrow it down so I know what to do next.

Heat can definitely be a seizure trigger for some folks (see threads below):

And anything that stresses the system might do it, even if it hasn't been a problem in the past. I assume you aren't taking any antihistamines (since those can be seizure triggers).

I have hay fever & I've been pretty lucky in that I've never seen any correlation between it & my seizures.
