truthfully all the painkillers they gave me in hospital for my lung cancer were nice. I am not really a painkiller person, and I will admit. I think a few combinations of the drugs do have a numbing effect or interfere with that part of your mind. part of it though, after a certain number of injuries it is very hard to get panicked anymore over a lot of things. most of the people here have some sort of story that most people consider horrifying. We have a worst injury thread, it gets rough. but I had a few fucked up stories long before the epilepsy, i cut off the tip of my index with a bicycle wheel. i had to go find the tip before we went to hospital. it is hard for a lot to shock me after that. I think it is similar for a lot of other people, even more so for those who have their epilepsy from an injury

I had three Excedrin just because it was hurting to breathe

Wow it’s been 3 years since I first posted about this.
I’m currently in the process of getting surgery scheduled for a hernia. I’ve known about it for months. I would notice it occasionally.
I believe my hypo manic episode a few weeks ago aggravated it quite a bit. If it’s sore I can push it back. I’ve had a hernia in the past. I should be in excruciating pain.

Still hard to explain. It hurts but I don’t feel pain 🤪
Good problem to have I guess.

I HATE it when I'm in severe pain since they say that with the AED's I should only use acetaminophen. That NEVER gets rids of my pain. If I'm having the pain at night, I don't care & take ibuprofen. At least I sleep in peace.

I'm starting to wonder if my quilting hobby has caused some type of long-term injury or pain issue. Recently, my right thumb joint (where it joins my wrist) has been constantly hurting. I will often wear a tight thumb brace on it to lessen the discomfort. Sometimes at night I will rub a pain relief cream on, then wear the brace to alleviate the pain.

I take more Advil than I would like and I have lidocaine patches for my shoulders. Unfortunately my fingers have been getting worse
