Thanks for all the information. I know a few people on the forum here have noticed a correlation between their seizures and the moon's cycles. I was trying to pay attention to how the moon factored into my seizures too, but I think I was paying more attention to full moons rather than new moons, and full moons didn't seem to be the culprit.

As far as parasites go, I'm sure they respond to the moon's cycles as well as solar/geo events. And I would have probably agreed with you that parasites were a bad thing and something to be eliminated until I read the book below...

After reading this book and digesting all the research in it that's been done, I was ready to fly to Mexico to get me a nice bowl of hookworms. (Not kidding...) It's an excellent book and might give you a new perspective on worms, bacteria, fungus, all of these things we see as the 'bad guys'.

Also, you said that you compared his seizures to the dates of the seizures suffered by others on this forum. Did you compare his seizure diary to any the 4 websites below, especially the final 2 that can be searched backwards in time?

It does sound crazy! But I'm also affected by the barometric pressure as I get cluster headaches when it rises up or down. In the summer, I can't live in humid cities/towns only by the sea or cool places. The world is made up of energy so anything is possible.

I can't handle humidity either, and for some reason I do better when the air is in motion too (windy), summer or winter. I'm not sure why this is?...perhaps because electrons are blowing around when it's windy? Even when I get out of the shower (and the bathroom is humid), I will feel horrible (even in the winter) until I turn the blow dryer on and point it at my head. I can't understand this.

air motion differentiation does raise and lower the air pressure, so you may be "popping" your ears in minute increments
I'm getting my ears cleaned soon
maybe that'll help with seizure issues!
it'll help in general, with some tinnitus, for one

One of my

meds is not only used for some seizure control, but mainly as a migraine control med........ However, it doesn't work perfectly.... I, too, am one of those who has issues with the barometric pressure. I can't really move town to town, so I tolerate to a certain extent what I have.

But for me, it's easy to tell when the barometric pressure is going up or down....all I have to do is pay attention to my head, NOT the meteorologists.

Anything in the solar world out of whack tonight because my head is not screwed on right tonight...half afraid to go to sleep.

I have found some non-biased (not judging my emotion before seeing this webpage info) correlation between my moods and this info
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/xray_5m.html

and right now it is showing very low activity
I've been feeling good/different today

>and the flatline on that gauge corresponds to the timeframe of your post...

not that it really means anything specifically... (?)

One of the sunspots (1416) had a beta-gamma magnetic field and was growing (tripling in size). Another sunspot (1419) was the same sunspot that had unleased the X2-flare a couple of weeks ago, though it had greatly decayed during its transit around the sun.

If anybody had any strange, unexplainable symptoms late yesterday though (2/14/2012), apparently there was some sort of 'disturbance' in earth's magnetic field that has Space Weather forecasters stumped.

For reasons not fully understood by forecasters, a disturbance rippled through Earth's magnetic field on Feb. 14th. There has been some speculation that the display was caused by a CME, launched from the sun on Feb. 10th and reaching Earth on Feb. 14th. However, there is no clear signature of a CME impact in local solar wind data.

Here is the recording...

I've heard them say that love makes the world go around...
maybe Valentine's day gave the magnetic field that extra nudge :)

research study

Hi Everyone,

I am in the process of writing a research proposal to study the correlation between different scale magnetic storms (CME, flare or coronal hole related) and the physiological responses in humans. I came across your posts while doing a literature search, and I was wondering if you could answer a couple of my questions.

-How many of you document the times of your seizures?
-How far does your documentation go back?
-Are there different levels of severity in the seizures?
-How do the medications control your seizures?

Many thanks!

I'd advise putting this question as a thread of its own if you'd like info.
I try to keep track of mine.
I do keep some notes.
I believe there is no evidence suggesting that CMEs etc. do have a widely acknowledged affect on human physiology. I would have no idea. But I have found some curious corellations between spans I've felt severe mood issues or had strange feelings and readings from http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/xray_5m.html
I don't know if it's even possible

There are lots of articles on the relationship between geomagnetic disturbances and biological responses (google: biological effects of geomagnetic disturbances). Unfortunately not all papers are free the public.

I think it might be worth documenting physiological symptoms for a few months and comparing it with the time of geomagnetic storms *after* the documentation period to get a more objective result. You could also see correlation coefficient between times of storms and your symptoms. A coefficient above 0.6 would be considered significant.

I've been comparing my symptoms to the 4 Space Weather websites on page 1 of this thread for years. Unfortunately, I was recording them in calendar books for much of it, tossing them at the end of each year. Once I knew I was dealing with a seizure disorder, I regretted throwing them out, so I kept the book from 2011 - better late than never, right? And this year I'm trying to keep a log on the computer. So ask away...

Found this article...

The Effect of Geomagnetic Storms on Suicide:

Laradee is right though - many of the articles available aren't free to the public.

Hi, my daughter has cerebral palsy and refrectary epilepsy and I notice the same as you, withe every solar flare her seizures improves, thamks for all your data, and excuse my poor english:clap:

Going to have a real good read of all of the below ;)

I have tried tracking my Sons seizures vs. lunar activity could not find link BUT this is interesting, thank you

X solar flares

We have followed the effect of solar flares and other geopathic events lunar cycles, solar and lunar eclipse. My son is unable to write for himself but these events have impacted his seizures for many years. He is now 25. Tonight we are feeling the impact of 4 X solar flares this week and several more M level. He has status seizures from these events. I am wondering of anyone else has seen this pattern.

Not crazy at all :)

Youre NOT crazy. Im surprised to find someone that have written and related
EXACTLY the things Ive experienced myself..
My story starts with simple partials which I had NO trouble identifying thru observations primarily thru solar telescope direct observatiions of the sunspots in late 2003 and onwards. Only to search for satellite info, landing on SOHO and NASA satellite info webs, as well as Rice University.
I have myself been "owned" by solarstorms, and only thru 2000 hours of neurofeedback in Woodland Hills, California between Aug 2005 and Feb 2011,
have i been able to eliminate my seizures. While still to this day i have correlating Deep depression and panic attacks, for which im medicating with SSRI's and Anti-depressants to manage those, for which i could not address with neurofeedback.
I have been Daily surfing the satellites since then and continue to do so, as well as studying Heliophysics and Plasma physics of the local Cosmos along with neurophysiology and neuropsychology.
I have told my friends for YEARS about this and they thought i was out of my mind. Now I can tell you with certainty that its no fluke or nonsense..
Imagine finding you here Writing the things that you do, is almost spooky. :)
:hugs: Lars , Sweden

Things arent as bad with solar activity this solar cycle as the one earlier. (2001-2006)
Lucky for me or i would have actually KILLED myself out of utter despair..
