I mean, both while postictal and in general, after a bout of seizures worse than usual.
I have TLE that's been especially acting up the past few weeks because of seasonal stress. Right after I have one I just want to sleep, of course, but even after several hours or even the next day I still have that lingering feeling of unreality or disconnectedness and it can be hard to get grounded again. After a more prolonged rough time, it's hard not to become discouraged. I'm curious what other people do.
What do you do to take care of yourself after seizures? Is there a self-care ritual that works for you?
