Tonight I recieved a call from a woman who said she was forwarded my information about the ER visit I had on January 25th. She said she sat down with the Dr who treated me and gave me the Levaquin, and said he gave it to me because I had a SEVERE case of pneumonia. He said he saw the medications I was taking, and since my seizures have been mainly under control with my seizure medications, that it wouldnt have affected me like my pharmacist and family dr said it would have. He said it affects the "Central Nervous System"..... Ah, correct me if Im wrong, but isnt that the place where my seizures come from? She informed me that since I reported this, it will be sent to a review meeting of drs and such, who will be taking over. She wont know anything more, or I wont since its out of her hands as of now.
She asked if I recieved my refund? I said no. Told her Ive been getting the run around by the lady whom we have spoken to since January 26th. She said she would get right on that and make sure the check is sent out to me.
Just the way she put things to me, made me realize that this dr has no clue as to what he is talking about or doing. I told her after having many experiences with their hospital, all good ones, this was the only bad one that made me feel uncomfortable about going back there again. The last thing I want is to have a seizure. I followed my pharmacist's and Dr's advise and got a new medication. It must be working, because I feel 500% better! But she made it sound like since my pneumonia was such a severe case, it was something I had to have in order for it to go away. If it was such a severe case, why the hell wasnt I hospitalized then? It just doesnt make a whole lot of sense.
All I can say is that after I get my refund, I will put all of this behind me.
