Hello Everyone!
I moved to Denver recently and I'm having a lot of cool new things happening on the epilepsy front! For example, my epileptologist said I'm potentially having seizures in both my LTL and parietal lobes. Super weird. Anyway, I'm going to have a VNS implanted soon, but before we do that I'm going in to the hospital for a video EEG. I've been told that it's super boring, so I'm bringing my own work (dissertation), my students' work (grading), plus movies, books, and other things to pass the time. I was wondering what comforting things should/can I bring? I read online to bring a pillow and comfy clothes (button down PJs). The lady I spoke with said that I will have control over the room's temperature, but I still plan on bringing my own blanket. I also purchased things to clean myself and hold back my hair since I know I won't be able to bathe.
What about food or snacks? Any other suggestions? They said I will potentially be there for 5-7 days, although if they get a good assortment of seizures from the various regions of my brain, I can go home in 24-48 hours.
Thanks!!
