Wife's last one was Dec '07 and the one before that was Mar '03. The last one we ruled out as a 7K ft altitude change changing blood levels as well

That's why we got pissy with our new doctor when he wanted to change things since we want to start having kids. If you read my other posts you'll see what I'm talking about. She was seeing the same doctor at Akron Children's since she was 5 and then stopped seeing him when she was 25. Akron FTW though.

4 days is currently my record. I'm thinknig the meds aren't quite working lol

My record is 7 days. I'd say my medication isn't working well either but it's working better than any other AED I've taken.

Now it's a matter of figuring out what else might help besides pills.

The longest I ever get is 12 months just long enough to contemplate a driving
Liscence and then I find myself waking up after a session of carpet kissing but
These days I have just given up wanting one that way I don't get dissapointed by letters

Age 11 to age 21. I am currently 52, and am so far at 7 years and counting since my last seizure. My brain favors the T/C's, so a healthy fear keeps me on my toes. I almost croaked in 2003, and don't wish to have an encore.
Now, I mostly deal with being on Dilantin for a hundred years, and the great long term effects of that!

2006-2008 I was seizure free, I mean I had some absences here and there, but other than that totally fine. Late 2008+ they started hitting again. Have no idea why. But those 2 years were great years :)

Well...I guess I'd need to know what is meant by "seizure free" now. My original answer to the poll was over a year because I've gone 18 months between T/ Cs. Since I've found out I've been having simple partials though I would have to change my answer to maybe a month?

When I was in my early teens I was hitting about 18months continually free of sz's, and then bam, I'd have one. Then I'd be back to the free for 18months.

As I've gotten older, they seem to have become more a 'part of my life' again; as they were when I was a toddler.

Ah well - I blame work !

I've been 8 months seizure free the last seizure that I had was in Sept 2010 when I came back from Europe it was a very unexpected seizure.

Are you sure? The date is only May 2010.

I've got to admit that sometimes I do feel like I've been kicked into the next century after a seizure, I guess you really were. :)

I was able to go seizure free for 18 months on Tegretol but I am on Tegretol and Topamax now and I am back several seizures a month :(

I have Complex Partial seizures with secondary generalizations. I have had one T/C that has been recorded at this time. It took several year to acheive a correct diagnoses.

Oh, I am so sorry. I hate complex partials. I have those along with many others. But those are such a pain in the butt. I would rather have one GTC then have all those complex partials. They have helped clear my memory. All my prayers for you....Teresa

Im looking for my granddaughter. My daughter has been through so much with her and we thought she could be weened off medication {according to her specialists} since shes approaching puberty and hadn't had a siezure for 2 years. Then only cutting back on add medication to start she had siezure. We were all so hopeful.
