The climate has TRULY changed. I've lived in the same region, by Chicago, for over 40 years. I have noticed that winters are both warmer & FAR less snowy than they were when my family moved here. Trees and flowers that you would not see bloom or even bud until the end of April/early May started to at the end of March!!

I started all my vegetable seeds indoors a few weeks ago. I don't like to purchase those "cups" for them. Instead, I save many cardboard tubes from paper towels and toilet paper, then cut them into small segments. I place those into old large foil pans and add the soil & seeds. Most have sprouted, but I will wait until they're larger before transferring them to the ground.

In Central California it's 55 and was misting but I think it stopped.

It's a warm sunny day here in upstate NY but tomorrow the 29th we are under advisory for severe t-storms,
1 inch size hail, damaging winds and possible tornadoes.

We just had a wicked storm come through on Tuesday and knocked out the power to half of Pittsburgh for 2+ days. Got power back yesterday after I went out to charge my phone and laptop, but, ironically when I got home the power was conveniently back on. Right now it's 77F and overcast. We had a brief downpour a while ago but it's nice and warm and sunny lately, a pleasant change from the frigid winter here.

We had another wicked storm May 2nd trees and wires are down, a tree came down on a house along with a silo collapsing
due to 60 mph winds and heavy downpours.

We've had rain recently, nothing too heavy though. I just wish the weather would be more "normal". We have a lot to do outside, prepping the areas for the vegetables & pruning some dead branches that we weren't able to last fall.

Finally having a decent spring day. We have been cool and rain most days.
I was off work for several weeks and couldn't drive. The weather kept me inside and was frustrating. Couldn't even take walks.
