So, my friend and I were talking the other day about sleeping. And I told him how (it hasn't happened in forever) sometimes I would be waking up or going to sleep and all the sudden I was "stopped". Could not move for nothing. I heard everything around me but could not talk or move, for anywhere from a minute to a couple of minutes. At the time my parents and others just said it was cause I was just over tired. Well, my friend said that he has never heard of this and that it had to be a first sign that I had E. So I tried to do some research and came up, as usual, with nothing. :D

So, I ask you all, what do you think? (FTR: he tends to think himself an expert in pretty much everything)

I do that sometimes. I have not been doing that since I got on Vimpat. For me they were seizures.Good luck Mr. Dark.Teresa

That sounds like simple partial seizures -- being conscious but impaired -- so may be they were an early sign of E.

I know that long before I had my first seizures (they were tonic-clonics) there were rare, small warning signs. I only realize this with hindsight, of course, I didn't think a whole about them at the time.
