I have partial complex epilepsy and have a very hard time sitting in the sun for any period of time. After only about 5 minutes I get dizzy, get a headache, feel sick to my stomach...and this is with a hat and sunglasses on. Want to know if anyone else experiences this. I don't know if it is my epilepsy or my heart disease, but have had problems with being in the sun for as long as I can remember.

My diagnosis is a generalized seizure disorder (both simple and complex partials), and I also have trouble with the sun. I'm also a 'yard person', so it's been rather difficult for me to go out there and plant, prune, and mulch with how difficult it is for me to be in the sun. Summer isn't the only time I have problems with the sun...a lot of times I have trouble at sunrise in the winter, too.

I have simple and complex left tle-but nice weather comes and its big time auras and they are nearly nonstop-it doesnt even have to be hot-just being out when the sun is out is enough to make me feel like I have to vomit. If I am in and out all day with the kids it is miserable.Im so irritable Im afraid to speak I have feelings of tingles or pricking sensations and the vomiting urge and it just ebbs and flows all day long somedays are worse esp.if you add heat but I experience such periods of confusion and memory loss that Im exhausted by noon
