Were in the 1st month of spring over here.
Usually its starting to warm up but its been wet and cool.

We can never say no to the rain though as Australia had that bad drought not that long ago

Weather folks are trying to tell us that Fall has begun but they aren't fooling anyone. We all know it is still Summer.

Same here. Normally in the Chicago area we're starting to take out light sweaters (at least for evening). It will be feeling more like late August instead.

I still find it interesting how the seasons are opposite on that side of the world!

We're beginning our descent into winter over here. I live on the west coast, so it's basically just going to rain for about 6 months. I love the cooler temperatures, and winters are pretty mild here compared to the rest of Canada.

I often miss REAL winters. Over AT LEAST the last 15 years I haven't seen the type of winters we used to, & I've lived in this region for over 40 years.
I've often told my sons that winters when they were growing up were NOTHING compared to what they were when we were younger (I mean the 1970's-80's). For example, our family was driving TO Chicago during the blizzard of 1979. My father had to follow in a semi's path until we reached an area where it was clear enough to drive. Our family also lived in Superior Wisconsin--near Duluth. We averaged 8 feet of snow/year thanks to lake effect snow!

Sunset fishing is getting earlier and earlier. Catching a fish had nothing to do with it tonight. Beautiful out.
One direction had the moon sliver reflecting off the water. Other direction had the sunset.

The ONLY advantage this ridiculously warm weather has is that it is extending the growing season for my vegetable garden. UNFORTUNATELY, before we could properly place wire fencing around the plants, rabbits ate MANY plants' flowers. They killed my hot pepper plants, for example, & even ate up most of leaves on my okra plants. I ALWAYS start the seeds inside & plant the seedlings--not seeds.

That’s a shame about the veggies. Rascally rabbit. 😉
Crazy temperature change this week. High of 83 Tuesday, low of 34 on Friday morning 😮

Our weather will change suddenly, too. We will get rain tonight and tomorrow morning--tomorrow it will only be in the mid to upper 60's. That's approximately 20 degrees less than today, & nearly 30 degrees less than this weekend, when it was close to 90!

Do you guys get warm summers there

Aussie summers can get pretty hot, up to high 30c to low 40c by late Jan.
We are in the last month of Spring, we've had a few days of rain which is always needed as we recently had a few years of drought.

We Finally had some snow flurries this morning. Although the temperature is barely above freezing, whatever fell melted. Tonight, there's a winter storm warning--we will get 3-7" snow. The funny part is that in about 3 days, though, the temp will be back in the 50's.

Most of that snow we had is already gone--we only ended up getting about 3". Some areas just east of us (within 50 miles) got 12"! It was all due to HOW the lake effect snow bands set up. I remember living in Superior, WI--we averaged 8 feet of snow/year thanks to lake effect.

Wow. It went from 80 Friday to 40 today. It is like the weather saw an ice agent here in North Florida

I wish I could understand your weather
Thats in Fahrenheit right ?

Here we are Celsius if you said here in Aussie its 40 degrees it means its really hot

Today Dec. 1st we are going to get a winter storm with up to 6 inches of snow and bitter cold temperatures.

We got about 5 inches of snow this morning, first snow of the winter.

Temperatures dropped here a fair bit recently, but so far no snow, and not even a lot of rain, which is very unusual for the Pacific NW.
