:ponder:"The world in which you live is not primarily determined by outward conditions and circumstances but by the thoughts that habitually occupy your mind." -- Norman Vincent Peale
Thought propels not only actions but "feelings". I alway try to remind myself of that!

misc. quotes

Don't go around saying the world owes you a living; the world owes you nothing; it was here first.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhornne Clemens] (1835-1910)

If you can't describe what you are doing as a process, you don't know what you're doing.
W. Edwards Deming

It is not enough to do your best; you must know what to do, and THEN do your best.
W. Edwards Deming

When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other.
Eric Hoffer (1902-1983)

When all think alike, no one is thinking very much.
Walter Lippmann (1889-1974)

T. H. White

Napoleon Bonaparte

a man who sleeps with the fishes must have had a seizure while swimming.
(joey murillo 2009)

History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon.
Napoleon Bonaparte

Oh, this is SO TRUE. Just ask an older person who lived through events such as the depression or WWII versus what we were taught in school versus what is out in the media today. Thanks for that quote.

On Nobility

"Nobility is not about being better than someone else.
Nobility is about being better than you used to be.”
Dr. Wayne Dyer

The Boss

“You can hide ‘neath your covers and study your pain
Make crosses for your lovers, throw roses in the rain,
Waste a summer prayin’ in vain
for a savior to rise from these streets.”
Bruce Springsteen, Thunder Road

So True!

Character is doing the right thing when no one is looking.
...Am I correct in thinking that you might keep this as your "Signature"? I think it would be a very fine reminder for all. People need not "stage" their good deeds for the sake of :clap::clap:. The echo fades quickly.

There's something about "knowing your heart" in silence. It's more gratifying and lasts a longer time. A nobal secret. More people should try it.

“You can call it anything you want.
But a rose is a rose and a thorn is a thorn.
Tell me white as black and black is white.
You can say what you want but that don’t make it right.
You can tell me that the world is flat.
If I didn’t know any better I might go for that.”

Utopia, Don’t Call it Love

There is power inherent in committing yourself to the process of creating health in all levels of your life. ~Christiane Northrup, MD

favorite quote

This has been my favorite quote since I first heard it, too many yrs ago to want to mention.
"that's just my opinion, I could be wrong." Dennis Miller
I have ended many of my own conversations with this quote simply to avoid arguments or the implication that I thought I was right.

saw this one on a bumper sticker
if at first you don't succeed, sky diving isn't for you...

We are so hopeless
We are hopelessly in love
She breaks my will
She's my bitter pill
Addicted to her
Can't fight off the chill
She blurs my world
She's my bitter pill
We creep the night
Just to taste the thrill
Hopelessly in love

Mötley Crüe - " Bitter Pill "

These lyrics express my feelings towards the effects of AEDs.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate
cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. We must learn to
live together as brothers, or perish together as fools.

-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Ultimate Quote of the Day

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit."

THE MEMORY CAPACITY OF EVEN AN ORDINARY HUMAN MIND IS
FABULOUS. WE MAY NOT CONSIDER OURSELVES PARTICULARLY
ADEPT AT REMEMBERING TECHNICAL DATA....BUT CONSIDER HOW
MANY FACES WE CAN RECOGNIZE, HOW MANY NAMES CALL UP SOME
PAST INCIDENT, HOW MANY WORDS WE CAN SPELL AND DEFINE.
IT IS ESTIMATED THAT IN A LIFETIME, A BRAIN CAN STORE
1,000,000,000,000,000, (A MILLION BILLION), BITS OF
INFORMATION.

See, we are just like computers that need rebooted once in awhile.
