When you are in climax or have an O. Everything in you brain is going on at once, so if you have epilepsy and you get to that climax the brain is already going on all at once, so it can and will throw you into a seizure. It happeneds to me and I m very suprised that your doc doesn't know this.

Yes, but I don't orgasm during sex. Ever. It doesn't happen when I masturbate either. I think it's bc I'm ways on top (doing all the work) and when I get up I get a head rush or maybe was sweating too much or breathing too hard. :-[

That's sounds like a lot like me. Have you tried looking up info about it online?

I have had quite a few seizures during sex, directly after sex, my fiance just calms me and tries to settle me down afterwards.

My first seizure after almost 11 years came back when I was having sex with my new husband. He just thought I was "...acting weird" but didn't say anything to me then. The next morning I had one sitting beside him, and that's when I knew they were back :( Since then, I have had quite a few while having sex, but thankfully he's understanding. I didn't mention it to my husband as my dad had driven me there... haha.

What is this sex you speak of? It's been that long I can't remember what it is..maybe I should try seducing my partner by telling him Its for research :D

Hi, I realise I'm a bit late on this thread, but perhaps there's someone who has a similar situation?

I seem to have created a mental association with 'episodes' and sex. Before myself and my husband even get going I start having auras and flashes. My seizures are terrifying so I can't hope it just goes away, I have to prepare myself for a full on attack...So you can probably guess the level of my sex drive right now ;)

Anyone out there with something similar?

Hi.
so wierd that this came up. I had a seizure during sex too on Sat. This is the 2nd time it's happen to me. I'm really not all that in to anymore. my Boy-friend doesn't understand why I don't like having sex. I had a simple partial and later that afternoon I had a complex partial then a Tonic Clonic.
durning my complex partial I remember chewing my tongue like a piece of gum. I've never done that before. My boyfriend came in to the kitchen to see what was that chewing/smacking noise. I remember him walking in the kitchen and wipeing blood off my face. I'm really tires still and feeling uneasy and scared.

I have had a seizure during sex with my wife and not only did it freak me out as the seizure was coming during the main part of sexual act, but after as well when I was back in this world; my wife freaked out in this situation as well, just not knowing what was happening. Since then, I have NOT had sex in the same way!

this thread will probably never die, it is too good of a read
, and don't worry a lot of us have.

the most amusing is probably when my gf kept going, she said she might as well finish since I wasn't there anyway.

My husband did the same with me, and for the same reason! LOL

I didn't know that things would 'stay standing' when you'd have a seizure thought?

oh val, really? a tonic clonic and he kept going? sorry i'm shaking my head that is awful. if you're okay with it then whatever i guess but i just don't get it :ponder:

I wasn't having a tonic colonic, he just thought I was really getting into things the way I was acting. By the time he realized it was a seizure it was 'too late'.

I've had seizures during sex, but it was just my head leaving me. Nothing happened, I just don't remember it. Reading this I actually just found myself thinking if my current girlfriend would stop or keep going. I mean she is a bush girl (hilbilly as she calls it. Yeah one in Ontario right) so would she freak out, or just treat me like a buckin horse :p I love this thread, some funny stuff.

Fortunately I've never had a seizure during sex, but then again the last time I had sex was over three years ago. Epilepsy came into my life in late 2008, so it was only a couple of years that I was having sex for with epilepsy, and my E is currently worse than it was back then.

It's kind of a mixed back for me. Often my seizures are caused by stress. Due to the... well, feeling of euphoria during sex, I think I'd be less likely to have a seizure. Nevertheless, given the small palpitations I might have during masturbation, that is some stress in itself, huh? Damn... three years without sex. I don't think I could turn to an escort, but I don't want to enter a relationship with my epilepsy as it is now!

I would post the forever alone image at this point, but I'm not allowed to post links or images. I wish moderators could allow that manually for those who clearly aren't trolls.
